As the result of the State Great Khural's election, legal conditions to establish a new Government are provided. The Government is accountable for its work to the State Great Khural and the term of its mandate is four years. The Government shall step down in its entirety upon the resignation of the Prime Minister or if half of the members of the Government resign at the same time.

ImageThe National Flag is divided vertically into three equal parts colored red, blue and red. The three equally spaced stripes have special meaning. The two outer red stripes symbolize progress and prosperity. The inner blue stripe symbolizes the eternal sky. The Golden Soyombo is depicted in the center of the red stripe nearest to the flag pole. The ratio of the width to length of the Flag is 1:2.

Canada to open trade office in Ulaanbaatar

Canada will open a permanent trade office in Mongolia to assist local Canadian businesses. Canadian firms have a reported $395 million in investments, including operating more than 20 mines. Canada is also Mongolia’s second largest investor.
