S.Bayar, the Prime Minister of Mongolia, met with Mark Minton, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador from the USA in Mongolia.
At the beginning of the meeting, M.Minton congratulated S.Bayar, who was appointed as the Head of the Government of Mongolia. And he handed over the President of the USA G.W. Bush’s letter to him. The Prime Minister accented to pay attention to the two countries relation and cooperation developing by economy and commerce and “As I am the Prime Minister, I will work for development of the two countries relation, not reduce the 20 years relation level” he said. The Ambassador M.Minton expressed his appreciation to the Government of Mongolia and he said the USA requests to make the contract of the MCC and work efficiently. The contract of the MCC is a job of the two countries state and the USA is interested in cooperating with Mongolia to develop private sector. Market observers believe Mongolian copper prices will remain high for at least the next two years. One of the main reasons given for the continuing high prices are delays to planned mining projects caused by increasing percentages of revenues being funneled off by governments in Mongolia and Africa. |
