Citizens of European (EEA) Member Countries are able to live and work in Germany without a visa or work permit.
Citizens of the new Member States (Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary,
Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia) may only take up
employment if they have an EU work permit issued by the Federal
Employment Agency (Bundesagentur fur Arbeit) (BA) and may only be
employed if they are in possession of such a permit.
