{mosimage}Niislel Khuree, the capital city of the Bogd Khaan’s Monarchy, was established as a result of Mongolia’s struggle for independence, by the first Great State Khural held on November 25, 1924. On the following day, the country proclaimed its independence from China, and Niislel Khuree was named as the capital city of the People’s Republic of Mongolia.
{mosimage}During Asashoryu’s absence Hakuho did a good job and did not lose the Emperor’s Cup to the Japanese. So all six tournaments organized throughout the year were won by the Mongolians. The November sumo tournament gave Hakuho, whose Mongolian name is M.Davaajargal, his second emperor’s cup as a sumo champion, but this is his fifth career title.

{mosimage}Mongolian Nambaryn Enkhbayar was honored in the United Arab Emirates during a state visit on Sunday. President Enkhbayar met in Abu Dhabi with his counterpart, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to discuss boosting bilateral relations including trade, investment and tourism.

UPDATE: The Parliament's session today approved the President N.Enkhbayar's request to appoint S.Bayar as the Prime Minister of Mongolia. 97.1 percent of the 69 members, who were present, backed Bayar and two members, Z.Enkhbold and B.Batbaatar were against him.
