Singapore’s Tiger Airways plans budget airlines for Mongolia
{mosimage}Tiger Airways has announced plans to bring budget air travel between Ulaanbaatur and other Asian cities. Tiger Airways is the budget airline unit of Singapore Airlines. It is partnering in this plan with the Incheon, Korea city government, which runs South Korea’s largest airport, Incheon International Airport serving Seoul. [...]
Ivanhoe Mines reports $83.1 million third quarter loss; blames increased expenses
{mosimage}Ivanhoe Mines, Ltd. reported a larger than expected quarterly loss, blaming much of the loss to expenses in developing Monglia’s Oyu Tolgoi project. Third quarter losses were reported at $83.1 million, or 22 cents a share. Losses during the same period in 2006 were $66.5 million, or 20 cents a share. (more...)
Rare Mongolian horse born in Australian zoo
{mosimage}An Australian zoo announced the successful birth of a rare Mongolian Przewalski's horse on Sunday. Officials of the Adelaide Zoo in Adelaide, South Australia, said the white foal has been named “Effie,” after Melbourne Cup winner Efficient. (more...)

Asashoryu Returns on November 26
{mosimage}WITH the period of his ban nearing an end, Asashoryu has finalized his plans. He returns to Japan on November 26 and from Narita Airport goes straight to the Ryogoku Kokugikan.
