In this year’s Grand Evening, Ms Tsolmon, the most eminent pianist, Ms Oyungerel and Ms Munguntsetseg, soprano are going to perform classical works of Rachmaninoff.

Direct flights to link Mongolia and Russia in Baikal-Khovsgol lakes region PDF Print E-mail

Following meetings earlier in the week, G.Yondongombo from the Ministry of Road, Transport and Tourism of Mongolia said an agreement had been reached with Russian tourism officials.

Mongolian Boxers Going for The Gold in Beijing Olympic Games PDF Print E-mail

By the end of the tournament 3 Mongolian boxers P.Serdamba in the 48kg section, Z.Enkhzorig in the 57kg section and U.Monkh-Erdene in the 64kg section qualified for the Olympic Games which begin August 8.

Asashoryu defeats Hakuho to win his 22nd Spring Grand Tournament sumo tournament PDF Print E-mail

ImageMongolia’s Asashoryu won the Spring Grand Tournament sumo tournament in Tokyo Sunday by defeating grand champion Hakuho, also from Mongolia. The victory for Asashoryu was especially sweet since it was Hakuho who defeated him in January, thus preventing his winning his comeback match upon his return to Japan.

Five Mongolian boxers to play for the Olympian right PDF Print E-mail

ImageModern technology is coming to the rescue of thousands of pages of historic Mongolian documents. Mongolia’s National Archives and the Gandan Tegchenling Monastery are being assisted by UNESCO in digitizing their collections to guarantee their being preserved as well as distributed to wider audiences.

Experts say copper prices to remain high for next two years

Market observers believe Mongolian copper prices will remain high for at least the next two years. One of the main reasons given for the continuing high prices are delays to planned mining projects caused by increasing percentages of revenues being funneled off by governments in Mongolia and Africa.
