The capital city of Mongolia is Ulaanbaatar. Ulaanbaatar is situated in the valley of Tuul river, surrounded by mountains. The altitude of Ulaanbaatar is at the height of 1351 meters. Ulaanbaatar has over 1.3 mln of population which is almost half of the country`s total population. The capital city is the country`s scientific, industrial, education, cultural, political and economic center.

Some labels in English. Gift shops. The museum covers 5 areas: Geology, Zoology, Botany, Anthropology and Paleontology. The Paleontology exhibits include dinosaur's skeletons and eggs unearthed in Mongolia. While most of the exhibits cover the natural history of Mongolia. The museum is undergoing expansion and will cover the natural history of the whole world.

foreigners, flying is expensive as there are two rates applied to all

Good leather jackets, cashmere sweaters, camel wool vests and blankets can be found at excellent prices. Traditional embroidered boots with upturned toes, dels tied with silk scarves, fox fur hats and stylish Mongol jackets called 'hitunim' are mostly homemade but can be found in some shops.
