Mongolian sumo wrestling champion, Asashoryu, again made wrestling history as he became the first sumo wrestler to win the Emperor's Cup three years in a row. In the final bout on Sunday night, Asashoryu defeated fellow-Mongolian Tokitenku to win the one-day event. This was the 21st Emperor's Cups won by Asashoryu .
