India to send 10,000 tons of food to Mongolia |
The Indian government has announced it will provide 5,000 tons of rice as well as 5,000 tons of sugar to Mongolia. The government has announced a tender for the food with the winning bid being announced during the summer of 2008. The program is sponsored by India’s State Trading Corporation. In a statement, the agency noted, "The government is in the process of delivering 5,000 tons each of rice and sugar to Mongolia, under the Humanitarian Assistance Program."
