Mongolian youth are shy to wear their traditional attires nowadays. Because of Communist education and anxiety to be called as nationalist our youngsters were ashamed to wear their traditional clothes.
The students of the Linguistics and Civilization University named after Mongolian honored professor Choi. Luvsanjav, wear their traditional clothes during Mongolian traditional feast Tsagaan Sar, and opening ceremony as well as the graduation ceremony of the University and also during the class of traditional rituals. In that class the students wear different styles of modernized local dresses and attires of different places. Of course they do not wear them always. But there are some students who are in deel all the time. And even some among them are shy not wearing deel.
Once, the teacher was in a European dress during the class of traditional rituals he felt so strange beside the students. As if through his lesson he shows one thing, but through his way of dressing he showed another thing. It is hard to teach about how to wear the Mongolian national attires, so he used some short demonstrations, while one is translating in English, the other in Japanese; it become a lively-lesson. Now tourism is developing in Mongolia. The students are glad for the world is now respecting them.
