Full description & Itinerary
Day 1 Arrive Ulaanbaatar, capital of Mongolia. Ulaanbaatar is also known among foreigners as UB.
Day 2: After
breakfast, drive to Manzushir Hiid (50 km), visit ruins of the
monastery and hike in the oldest nature reserve in the world. Picnic
lunch.

Day 3: After
breakfast see the ceremony to greet the 80-elbow Maidar(Maitreya) the
Coming Buddha, and tsam- religious dancing festival. The ancient
religious mask dance, or Tsam, is a significant religious ritual which
reflects Buddhist teachings through images.

Day four: After visiting Gandan Hiid (monastery), the largest Buddhist Temple in Mongolia drive to Kharhorin.
Day five: After
breakfast observe the Erdenezuu then drive into the Gobi Desert. Stops
along the way for lunch and breaks. Visit and explore the ruins of the

Day six:
Drive to Khongoryn Els or singing dunes with the wind howling through
the sand (2600 feet high, 20 km wide and 100 km long) for spectacular
views of the desert.

Day seven:
Explore Khongoryn Els dunes. Camel riding is optional. Visit camel
breeder family. Drive to Juulchin Gobi ger camp. Overnight at ger camp.

Day eight:
Visit Flaming Cliffs where an American expedition headed by Roy Andrew
Chapman first discovered the fossil site and the first ever recorded
dinosaur eggs in 1922. Stay overnight in ger camp.

Day nine: Visit Yolin Am and park museum. This 40 km long canyon in the Gurvansaikhan Mountains is home to the endangered snow leopards.
Day ten: Fly back to UB. Start the day with at Zaisan Memorial, a prominent landmark looking over the city of UB built =”normal”>
Day eleven:
After breakfast drive to Gorkhi-Terelj National Park with high eroded
rock formations, pine covered mountains and grasslands carpeted with
perennial wildflowers and edelweiss. Hiking to Gunjiin Sum Temple.

Day twelve:
Leisure time for individual plans, horse riding. Visits the tortoise
rock and to the nomadic tented camps. Some trek to the tortoise rock.
Overnight in ger camp.
Day thirteen: Drive to UB, see the show of the celebration of the State White Bannern and show of the National costumes. Overnight in hotel.
Day fourteen: Guide will transfer you to the airport for your departure flight home.
