Skiing and Snowboard |
Winter in UB is more cold than freezing and the snow doesn’t settle too well, what snow the country does get is pretty thin and loose, usually less than a foot of snow, so the skiing opportunities are pretty poor. There is one Korean run company a few hours north of UB, but as I said the snow isn’t anywhere near good enough to ski on. Sleds are available from around 20,000 - 200,000.00 tugrug, and is a popular activity during the winter months, with children and adults alike on the slopes around the city. |

Experts say copper prices to remain high for next two years |

One of the main reasons given for the continuing high prices are delays to planned mining projects caused by increasing percentages of revenues being funneled off by governments in Mongolia and Africa. |
