Restaurants
There are number of restaurants that now serve a wide variety of international meals including Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Indian, French, Italian, English, and Latin American as well as Mediterranean. Most of the old restaurant serve typical Russian food, and this type of meal is also common in the base camps in the countryside. Mongolian special ceremonial meals, Boodog or Horhog can be served in Mongolian traditional food restaurants.

Modern Nomads - Mongolian Cuisine
The “Modern Nomads” restaurant was established in July 2003 in order to fundraise for the Mongolian Youth Development Center (NGO) and we offer high-quality traditional Mongolian dishes. Quickly the restaurant has become one of the well-known and famous restaurants in Ulaanbaatar for Mongolians and foreigners alike. Due to the great success, a second branch called “Nomad Legends Mongol Club” was opened one year later, which offers different-sized rooms that are well suited for business meetings as well as family celebrations. Finally the “City Nomads” buffet restaurant was opened in November 2004, which is conveniently located on the West side of Sukhbaatar Square.
