Asian table tennis championship to be held in Mongolia PDF Print E-mail

Mongolia has been chosen to host the first Asian university table tennis championship in late April.

Held in Ulaanbaatur, the championship will be co-hosted by the Asian University Sport Federation. In 2007, the Federation chose Mongolia to host the first championship matches.

Some 17 Asian countries will participate in the matches, with each country entering up to ten competitors. 

The four-day competition will include seven men's events, seven women's events, as well as seven men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles and mixed doubles.

Mongolia's Ministry of Health is coordinating the championship.

Experts say copper prices to remain high for next two years

Market observers believe Mongolian copper prices will remain high for at least the next two years. One of the main reasons given for the continuing high prices are delays to planned mining projects caused by increasing percentages of revenues being funneled off by governments in Mongolia and Africa.
