Japan to build an airport by Tgs 288 billion |
The Japanese Government has decided to finance the project to build a new international airport. Mongolian-Japanese relation has been developing successfully in all branches in the line with the “Basic Programme of 10 years of the Mongolian and Japanese cooperation” agreed by the two sides in 2007. Yesterday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced, a single project that equals with above loan will be implemented in Mongolia. It is the project for building the international airport in Khushigt valley, Tuv province. The Mongolian Government proposed about it to the Japanese side in 2006 and this issue was touched upon during the top level visits. While Ichihashy Yasuyoshy, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador from Japan in Mongolia, was meeting S.Bayar, the Prime Minister of Mongolia, he informed about the preferential loan in advance in connection with the project for building the new international airport in Ulaanbaatar. The loan is total 28 billion 807 million yen or Tgs 288 billion. The project is being implemented between 2007-2015 and as the result of it, Ulaanbaatar will have a new airport and it will be contributing into our social economic situation. Overdraft repayment’s interest is 0.2% and its term is 40 years. It is freed from the overdraft repayment in its first ten years and a definite amount of goods will be supplied by Japan while the project is being implemented. The Japanese Government has received the request of the Mongolia Government and the project for airport was decided to finance by “Special Condition of Economic Partnership” of the preferential loan of the Japanese Government.
