Trade between Mongolia and China increases by 43%

Officials in Ulaanbaatur disclosed this week that total trade between Mongolia and China increased by 43 percent to U.S. $2.07 billion in 2007.

The figures, released by the Mongolian State Statistics Bureau, noted that in 2007 trade between Mongolia and China accounted for nearly 52 percent of all Mongolian foreign trade.

It as also reported that Mongolian exports to China have increased by 35.19 percent to $1.406 billion. At the same time, imports from China went up in 2007 by 63 percent to $671 million.
