Photo Printing

There are numerous photo printing facilities around Ulaanbaatar. The best are just behind the buildings on the east side of Sukhbaatar Square – the Kodak and Fuji film signs make it apparent where they are. Konika and Fuji centers are most popular ones. The prices are reasonable and cheap and you can take in your digital flash cards, USB sticks, CD’s etc and get whatever shots you want printed. It mostly takes 10 to 20 minutes to be ready. Larger reprints often come without a paper envelope to carry them in so make sure you bring some protective sleeve when picking up the photo. Smaller sizes come in small plastic bags. At these places you can also buy cameras, digital cards, film and frames. The photo counter on the first floor at The State Department Store( Ikh delguur) is way behind the times being unable to print from digital media. This hopefully will change quite soon. If you want passport photos done then there are two quick and reasonable places in opposite corners of the first floor of the State Department Store. You can get an array of different mug shots done here in 5 minutes and for around Tg5000.
