Health and Fitness

Having said that there are a number of gymnasiums and athletic associations sprouting up in and around the city. Like almost anything else in UB availability effects the quality of the Gymnasiums, so the good ones tend to be a little expensive as far as membership is concerned and are mostly used as hangouts for all the corporate goons!

The cheapest and one of the best gyms in town, is the “Sport Hotel” Situated to the north east of the UB Hotel behind the Shultis school of English. This is a tall building with a large glass front. The Mongolian Rugby team are counted among the local inhabitants here, the gym is well laid out and reasonably equipped.

For the more ardent travelers or outdoorsy types who might be arriving in UB for the winter, the national Baseball ground gets turned into an ice rink over the winter months which, makes for a fun day out for all the family. The ice rink is an equally good place to leave the children for a few hours with the qualified instructors, who are happy to keep an eye on them for
you.

There’s also the MCS Gymnasium located close the Ivanhoe Mines building that sits opposite the Sky Shopping Centre, also this costs around $120.00 per month, the facilities are top quality and I’ve been told it has a swimming pool too.
