Singapore’s Tiger Airways plans budget airlines for Mongolia

{mosimage}Tiger Airways has announced plans to bring budget air travel between Ulaanbaatur and other Asian cities. Tiger Airways is the budget airline unit of Singapore Airlines. It is partnering in this plan with the Incheon, Korea city government, which runs South Korea’s largest airport, Incheon International Airport serving Seoul.

Ivanhoe Mines reports $83.1 million third quarter loss; blames increased expenses

{mosimage}Ivanhoe Mines, Ltd. reported a larger than expected quarterly loss, blaming much of the loss to expenses in developing Monglia’s Oyu Tolgoi project. Third quarter losses were reported at $83.1 million, or 22 cents a share. Losses during the same period in 2006 were $66.5 million, or 20 cents a share.
