Mail

The postal service at the Central Post Office in Ulaanbaatar seems to work quite well; bring along your passport as proof of identification!
The postal service is reliable but can often be very slow. Allow at least a couple of weeks for letters and postcards to arrive from Mongolia. In most cases, you will have to post your letters from the post office. You can buy stamps in post offices (and top-end hotels) in Ulaanbaatar and aimag capitals.
