The rivers of Mongolia belong to the inland catchment basins of the Arctic Ocean, the Pacific Ocean and Central Asia Inland Basin. The higher and middle Selenge, the biggest river in the country and part of the Yenissei river belongs to the Arctic Ocean drainage basin.

 Mongolia is a landlocked country and is situated in the Center of the Asian continent. So there are only fishes of river and lake varieties in the country. Mongolian rivers and lakes are classified into three basins: Arctic Ocean, Pacific Ocean and Central Asia. Animals in each basin create a specific composition. There are 75 species of fish, belonging to 36 genera and 11 families living in the Mongolian water basin.

Four independent silver deposits were discovered in Mongolia, and exploration works were carried out in the deposits. The main source of silver, reflected in the state reserves statistics, is silver-bearing, non-ferrous metal deposits. Most part of the silver reserve in the state reserve registration is allotted to the Asgat silver-sulfate, the Tuv and Mungun-Undur silver-mixed metal deposits. The silver reserve will be increased during exploration works of soil and mixed-metal deposits.

According to a recently released report of the Mongolian Press Institute, a total of 1158 newspapers, 273 magazines are registered officially in Mongolia at present. Among the daily
newspapers "Zuunii medee" ("Century news"), "Unuudur" ("Today"),
"Udriin sonin" ("Daily news") and "Unen" ("Truth") lead by the number
of subscribers.
