This is a large venue that hosts premier concerts and performances every week. Normally caters for the younger crowd hosting music concerts of rock, metal and hiphop acts. Normally for these events the venue is changed to a standing arena so the patrons can dance – some a bit more boysterious, especially if it’s a thrash metal act! It a squeeze down the front on these nights but good sound and lighting that accompany the acts make it worthwhile.
Tickets start from 3000Tg which is quite reasonable as some nights they really pack in the acts – from 10-15 performing in one evening! Although there is variety, if there’s a good band playing it seems they are pulled off just as they get going. The acts normally start around 7pm but often are late starting. And as you leave, be sure to make a quick exit – the security there tend to round up any stragglers but waving their stun guns about – an unnecessary but none-the-less scary measure! Seating for the more family orientated shows, a trip to UB Palace is a good evening. It’s off Peace Avenue to the west of the city – every cab driver will know where it is.
