Khukh Serkhyn Nuruu

The Khukh Serkhyn Nuruu SPA encompasses 65,920 hectares and is a crest of the Altai Mountains in Khovd and Bayanolgy aimags (Deluun soum of Bayan-Olgy aimag and Khovd soum of Khovd aimag). The area is the main habitat for argali and ibex herds. Also, it has a special significance in providing ecological balance and in maintaining the original features of the Mongolian Altai mountain range.
